Temple

For the temple/cave, I used the same method as the forest/plains but for the art style, I decided to look at minecraft blocks, specifically the stone brick blocks

I ended up finding this image from pinterest as well. I really liked the second one on the top row, kind of a fusion between the two minecraft stone brick blocks.

I made the outer blocks using the same method as before. For the colour scheme, I originally went with a purple colour palette as I felt it would suit the temple/cave theme.

However, seeing as our game has an elemental theme and has a predominantly green palette, I added a green screen on top and changed the settings to soft light.

I wasn’t sure which one I liked better so I asked the group and they agreed they liked the green colour more so I added the green screen to every tile.

With the colour palette sorted, I could easily make the inside corners.

Once again, I pieced them all together, like the example we got

The level design for the final one was a bit different. The designers wanted it so the character could climb up through the levels and escape the cave.

They wanted me to make some platform tiles. This was very easy, as I grabbed the top layer for the top brick tiles and made some slight changes to the edges to give it more shape.

For the platform, I made 2 different sizes, a single and a longer one.

Once all the tiles was finished, I changed the canvas size to 500×500 to make the quality higher, as all my tiles were still on 16×16.

All our assets were uploaded onto a shared OneDrive so that everyone could have access to them.
